Dear Mrs. Hai,

we wanted to give you some feedback after having accomplished our fantastic trip to the Ha Giang province.

The trip to the Ha Giang province with Dinh as guide and translator and with Hung as driver was absolutely fantastic. We are very happy that we did all of the planned trip, although in the planning stage the challenge scared us, especially with kids. This (still) unexploited region with its fantastic landscape and with the amazing people was a marvellous experience for us. Dinh and Hung were both extremely helpful, everything was well organized and we felt at all times safe and in good hands. Dinh was a very knowledgebal guide and his background of coming himself from the countryside seemed to be an extra asset. He gave us a lot of insight about how the local people lived and about their culture. We are very happy the we booked the option with guide. This made the trip more than twice as interesting and vivid. Hung did an excellent driving job, and adjusted his driving to our needs. We felt very safe in all situations. The jeep also fitted well to our needs and was the perfect car for the trip. Without the 4-wheel drive (and Hung’s driving experience) the visit to our sponsored child close to Xin Man would probably not have been possible.

The long driving was indeed sometimes tough for the kids, but the trip was still absolutely worth it and the kids managed rather well. Dinh and Hung did their best to amuse the kids in the breaks and showed amazing talents there. It was a big asset that they both are fathers and therefore had experience with kids and also seemed to enjoy having kids around. Often in the lunch breaks Dinh would explain things to us parents while we were eating, whereas Hung kept the coast clear and did some serious multitasking by feeding the baby girl while playing with our elder child the son while simultaneously still managing to eat himself. He became the big friend of our son, who cried desperately when we had to say goodbye to Hung at the end of the trip.

The accommodations all worked well. The hotels were all ok, the hotel in Meo Vac even fantastic. (Auberge de Meo Vac.) We were very happy with having the possibility of experiencing different home stays. The lower standard on toilets and on mattresses did not bother us, and was no problem with the kids. For the home stay experiences a guide and translator was very valuable, we would say, even necessary. In particular the first home stay in the Phu Tho province (the first night of our trip) was particularly nice and personal and in deed an unforgettable experience. It was also a good mix of home stays and hotels, allowing us some increased comfort at least every second night.

Also we would like to thank you very much for your excellent planning and your very good recommendations. A constructive criticism on how to improve your services we cannot find any. We were really satisfied with everything about the trip. We will indeed recommend your company for others who are interested in touring Vietnam and in particular Ha Giang.
